The land comprising Dunluce, along with the rest of Castle Downs, was annexed by the greater City of Edmonton in the early 1970s. The community’s area plan was approved in 1974, with development essentially complete by the 1980s. Dunluce is focused on families and features two schools, plenty of park and recreation space, and proximity to great amenities. The neighbourhood is also known for its affordable starter homes, townhomes, duplexes and even manufactured homes, making it a great fit for all lifestyles and budgets.

Despite its quiet, residential streets, Dunluce is within easy reach of several major Northwest Edmonton thoroughfares. With 97th Street to the east, commuters can easily access the North Anthony Henday, Yellowhead Trail, and Central Edmonton (with downtown under 20 minutes away). Also accessible via St. Albert Trail are the Anthony Henday, the City of St. Albert, and Groat Road. Along nearby 137th Ave, you can also find many of the area’s main shopping, entertainment, and recreational facilities.
Several bus routes and stops define the community, including the nearby Castle Downs Transit Centre. Future LRT expansion plans will also include the neighbourhood of Dunluce.
Did you know? Edmonton’s Metro LRT line extension will feature two stops along Dunluce’s south end. These include the Castle Downs Transit Centre and 127th Street.
