Part of the former City of Strathcona, the southwest community of Allendale merged with the greater City of Edmonton in 1912. As such, Allendale remains one of Edmonton’s oldest neighbourhoods, known for its mature landscaping, quiet, tree-lined streets, affordable single-family homes and proximity to desirable amenities.
