Westridge is a quiet, family-friendly community located in (you guessed it) Edmonton’s highly popular west end. Flanked by scenic ravine views to the north, east and south, this picturesque neighbourhood has become a popular choice among Edmontonians who love to get out and explore the great outdoors.

Your Choice of Single-Family Home

Although Westridge does offer a limited number of desirable townhome developments, real estate in the area consists mostly of single-family homes. An established neighbourhood, many of the community’s existing structures were built during the 1970s and feature multiple bedrooms (4.5 on average), large lots and ample square footage. Even better, the majority of these properties have been retrofitted to include the latest (and most desirable) features, finishes and upgrades.

Shopping and Services

Residents of Westridge have access to nearly every shop and service imaginable within a 10-minute drive or less. For starters, Edmonton’s famed West Edmonton Mall sits just a short jump across Whitemud Drive to the immediate northwest. Additionally, a variety of other retailers, restaurants and entertainment venues can be found along nearby 170th and 178th street. Other major shopping destinations within reach include the Terra Losa Shopping Centre, the Marketplace at CallingwoodSouthgate Centre, Mayfield Common and more.

Getting Around

As we mentioned above, Westridge sits within proximity to both 170th and 178th street and Whitemud Drive (which bounds the community’s north side). These major thoroughfares give Westridge commuters convenient access to the west Anthony Henday, Stony Plain Road (downtown Edmonton) and the greater City of Edmonton proper. Transit opportunities are also available in the area for residents who prefer to leave the car at home.

Parks and Recreation

Thanks to TWO bordering ravines (Patricia Ravine and Wolf Willow Ravine) and the adjoining North Saskatchewan River Valley, Westridge makes it easy to get out and enjoy the great outdoors. Bike paths, walking trails, parks and picnic areas make up a large portion of this nature-friendly neighbourhood. Residents also enjoy both an off-leash dog park and a highly popular local country club and community league.
