Commuting 

Lauderdale is defined by 113th A Street to the west, 132nd Ave to the north, 97th Street to the east and 127th Ave to the south. The Yellowhead Highway borders Lauderdale to the south, providing access to the greater capital region, including the Anthony Henday, St. Albert Trail and Fort Road. Other major commuter roads such as 97th Street offer streamlined access to the city’s downtown core (reachable in 10 minutes), while nearby 137th Ave spans the entire length of North Edmonton.

Though Lauderdale remains mostly car-dependent (most errands will require a vehicle), the area is considered highly transit-friendly. Several stops and routes operate throughout the community, particularly along 132nd and 129th Ave. Expansion of Edmonton’s Metro LRT line will also see a stop in Lauderdale, providing greater access to West EdmontonCity Centre and Southwest Edmonton.
