Commuting from Southwest Edmonton 

Blackburne is defined by 111th Street to the west, the Anthony Henday to the north, Calgary Trail to the east and the community of Richford to the south. To maintain low traffic flow into the community, there is only one entrance, Blackburn Drive, located in the area’s east end. Blackburne is also bounded by several other arterial roadways, including Ellerslie Road and Gateway Boulevard.

There is some transit operating in the neighbourhood, particularly along Ellerslie Road and 111th Street. The city’s Capital LRT line expansion will also see LRT service extended from Century Park to Desrochers. With a stop planned for the nearby community of MacEwan, Blackburne residents will be afforded convenient LRT access to the greater City of Edmonton.
