Capilano Homes and Real Estate Listings

It wasn't until the 1950s-1960s that Capilano homes for sale began to develop, though from 1910 until that time, the land was used mainly for agricultural purposes. When Capilano was annexed to the City of Edmonton in 1949, urban development began and today the neighbourhood is made up almost entirely of single-detached homes. Capilano real estate rests snuggly by Capilano Park in the north and west and Gold bar Park in the east, close to the banks of the North Saskatchewan River. Homebuyers can expect plenty of mature trees and a park-like environment while living in this coveted location. It shares the name with (and in fact is named after) the Capilano River and Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver, BC, and certainly possesses similar natural qualities.
