Local children’s charities
Happy New Year from the Paranych Team! Let’s make 2013 about more than decorating your Edmonton homes and enjoying delicious meals…let’s give back to the community. As strong supporters of community incentives, we are proud to stand behind numerous Edmonton charitable organizations. Featured below are two of the children’s charities we support and hope you will too.
Children’s Miracle Network
Since 1983, the Children’s Miracle Network has fund-raised and promoted awareness of children’s hospitals across Canada. Their goals are simply to raise funds for Children’s hospitals and to keep funds in the Edmonton community. Since their inauguration, they have raised over $4.3 billion, which is donated by dollar or two at a time. They help sick kids with illnesses such as asthma, broken bones, birth defects or cancer. Terry Paranych and the team support the Children’s Miracle Network through the contribution of time and money.
Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation
Founded in 2001, the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation has touched hundreds of lives in Edmonton. Their main objective is to raise funds in an effort to enhance services at the Stollery Children’s Hospital. Their funds are aimed towards supporting technology and equipment, research and education, infrastructure and excellence, as well as innovative programming. In 2011, $9 million was provided to the projects by the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation.
It is through the efforts of Edmonton children’s charities such as the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Children’s Miracle Network that families with sick kids, can receive help in the tough times.
